About Us

The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a volunteer organization of parents and teachers at GW Elementary, a public Montessori school. Being involved is one way to further your child’s education, learn more about the school, and meet other parents in the community.

 

Our Mission

Our goal is to foster a nurturing and caring environment that strives for parent involvement in helping build a better educational experience for our children. We also promote a school community where teachers and administrators can do their best work with resources we can help provide. Our mission involves raising funds to support our teachers’ efforts, educational and extracurricular experiences, as well as enhancements to school facilities.

Community

We foster relationships among parents, teachers, and staff to promote the best possible learning environment for our children with volunteerism. Please fill out a KCSD volunteer application form.

Enrichment

We raise funds for events, assemblies, field trips, technology, classroom supplies (not funded by the school budget), and equipment to support the staff and enrich our children's education.
